About KVK

Indian Council of Agriculture Research New Delhi establish KrishiVigyan Kendra (Farm Science Centers), as an innovative science-based grass-root institution,to develop exemplary techniques for rapid transfer of technology in the villages.In Nagaur district this KVK was establish in the September 1992 at Athyisan village on National Highway 89, about 7 Km from district headquarter in the administrative control of Agriculture University Jodhpur. The instructional farm area of KVK is about 20 ha.

• Crop Improvement through recommended varieties, INM & IPM.
• Crop Diversification from conventional crops like Wheat, Mustard etc. to seed spices like Fennel, Ajwain, Cumin&Isabgol for better returns.
• Popularization of improved varieties of Arid Legumes like Moong, Moth & Guar through FLD & Seed Production Programme.
• Entrepreneurship development through skill oriented long duration vocational trainings.
• Breeding, feeding, health & housing management of animals for increasing milk production.
